United Nations Humans Right Day: December 10, 2012
Every human is important and their rights, universal. Today is crucial day for remembering theUniversal Declaration Human Rights created to ensure a common standard for “achievementsfor all people and countries.” Thedeclaration was signed by 48 nations, and although it is not binding it hascreated a strong foundation for political, social, and cultural changes thathave impacted millions.
The basic human rights stated in the declaration have laiddown a standard in which the global community realizes the importance of everynation, and every person in the role of investigating human right violations,helping victims and strengthening support. The declaration has made an assertionabout the relevance of human rights for all and their emphasis on our dailylives.
Therefore, Human Rights Day is a day to remember the rightsyou share with everyone in the world; your basic human rights. Across cultures,languages and politics, our basic human rights universally unite us to one another.
