From the petition:
On July 31, 2009, Shane, Sarah and Josh were hiking near the Ahmed Awa waterfall in Iraqi Kurdistan when news reports say they mistakenly crossed the unmarked border into Iran. Since then, they have been detained in Iran and have had only one phone call with their families.
Shane, Sarah and Josh were in Iraqi Kurdistan on a hiking vacation and had no intention of entering Iran. They all have great respect for different cultures and societies and for the law. If they did enter Iran, it can only have been by accident.
They have now been imprisoned for over 300 days.

Hi there
Here is the latest video we have made in support of Sarah Shane and Josh
Called 'The Real Hikers - Last Night in Syria' the film documents the contrast between a wedding the 3 went to in Damascus and their detention in Iran 5 days later.
The bride, Emily, a close friend talks about Sarah and her continued imprisonment in Iran.
The film has previously unseen footage of Sarah and Shane dancing

The naieve commentary from liberal idiots is nauseating. Without a military intervention by Navy Seals or a regime change in Iran the hikers are doomed to endless incarceration. They remain valuable political currency for an unscrupulous, Machiavellian government. Worldwide appeals to human rights is laughable and weak to them. And Hilary Clinton does not feel the hikers are worth the trade Iran wanted for their imprisoned terrorists months ago. I am beginning to worry about martyrdom.

come on.... you are world travellers and you break the law... and hope that your passport is a free out of jail ticket.
I hope you are released safely but how do you reinforce that just because we have every right in the world back in our amazing countries, that does not follow you everywhere you go..
